Good Room is our underground disco venue on Level 2 of the Potts Point Hotel. When we aren’t spinning house beats every Saturday, Good Room is Sydney’s unique private bar venue for your next Christmas work party, end of financial year party, product launch, birthday, after party, bucks or hens night that want a dancefloor and eclectic experience. On Saturdays, groups book booths with bottle service and priority entry; however, full and partial venue hire is available on other nights, allowing your dedicated events manager to tailor the venue to meet the requirements for your function for up to 250 people on any night.

Good Room‘s VIP area behind the DJ booth is perfect for groups of up to 70 people. Additional bottle service tables are available next to the dance floor. Bottle service tables are available every Saturday.
The Room
Unique, spacious, intimate & private
Good Room is a private bar venue for hire in Kings Cross: a dark, intimate 200m² space that we reconfigure around whatever you are celebrating, whether that is a Christmas work party, an end of financial year function, a hens night, a bucks night or a milestone birthday. We built the room around a purpose-built sound system, with a central DJ booth sitting in the middle of the floor in Boiler Room style rather than pushed against a wall, so your crowd surrounds the music instead of always facing a stage.
The booth runs professional CDJs and mixers with a microphone for speeches, and we have additional microphones available separate to the booth for when the best man needs one too. Low-light design, considered lighting and a layout with minimal sight-line obstructions mean every corner of the room stays part of the same night, and the bar sits within arm’s reach of the dance floor rather than down a corridor from it. A projector is available for corporate presentations, branded visuals or a slideshow of the bride to be, and the floor plan shifts to suit: open for dancing, seated and sectioned for a dinner or speeches, or a mix of the two as the night moves.
